June 28 all shook up! **great school memories #1**so im sitting here tunes cranked at work..loud.. the whole office can hear it...whats playing??? none other then the late great ELVIS. yes the king himself.....probably my most favourite artist...i grew fond of him when i was 11 yrs old. first song i heard i was hooked. watched all his movies. listen to as much music as i can find. i can never get enough. at eleven yrs old i had a life size ELVIS painted on my wall...it was a damn good job...sooo anyways listening to him brought back a great school memory. ....back in the day, LOL...6 yrs ago in grade 10 one of my best friends and myself joined the choir club after school. for a couple semesters anyways..yes it was for the chicks....hehe..i cant lie.....but thats not to say i cant sing..coughgaghmmm...so anyways one of the songs my buddy and i had to practice was ALL SHOOK UP, by ELVIS. it was a duet. a great duet. it was masterfull...and full of imperfections....lol.....we tore the house down that night baby....ok.....we praticed twice a week and any time we were together. we get up on stage and were singing away and a part that we have had problems with is about to come up....we praticed ohhh we praticed hard....it was the part where we had to use our beautiful voices to jump to a high note...a note any young man going through..umm..cough..you know..hehehahha!
PLEASE DONT ASK ME WHATS ON MY MIND
IM A LITTLE MIXED UP, BUT IM FEELIN FINE
WHEN IM NEAR A GIRL THAT I LOVE BEST
MY HEAR BEATS SO AND IT ****SCARES*** MEE TO DEATH
so anyways were singing and the part comes and we crack....we crack so bad we can only look at each other shake our heads and our hips that are twisting..and belt out a quick laugh and of course the laughter fills the room...but none the less it was a great performance. and there were many more great performances we did together after that. good times good times indeed. AND AN ADVIL TO KILL THE PAIN
GOTTA GET BACK INSHAPE
IN A FEW HOURS IVE GOTTA DO IT
ALL OVER AGAIN
NEVER ENDING SEARCHMAYBE THERE IS NO TRUE LOVE
MAYBE THERE IS ONLY TRUE HAPPINESS
YOU DONT LOVE SOMEONE
YOU ARE JUST HAPPY WITH SOMEONE
MAYBE YOU JUST GET BORED OF
BEING HAPPY WITH THAT SOMEONE
AND THATS WHEN THE SEARCH BEGINS
THE SEARCH FOR......NOT LOVE
BUT THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS
HAPPINESS THAT YOU CAN SHARE WITH SOMEONE
ONLY TO GET BORED AND SEARCH AGAIN DARKNESSDARKNESS LURKS OVER ME
WITH EVERY STEP I TAKE
IT FOLLOWS
LIKE DEATH ITSELF
WAITING FOR ME TO BREAK
IT HAS FOLLOWED ME
FROM THE BEGINNING
WITH ITS IMPATIENCE
MORE ANGER BUILDS UPON IT
YET IT'S CONSTANTLY GRINNING
I'VE KNOWN IT TO BE BY MY SIDE
WHEN I LEAST EXPECT IT
CREEPING SILENTLY
WATCHING MY EVERY MOVE
I CAN'T HIDE FROM IT
I CONTINUE LIVING
AS IF IT WERE NOT THERE
THE DARKNESS THAT FOLLOWS
CAN FOLLOW ALL IT WANTS
I DO NOT CARE
Mr.libraLibra: Don't be surprised if you're asked to referee a conflict between others. As a Libra, your symbol is the scales. This is because you're more apt to find the balance in a situation than others are and it's a real gift. Rely on your ability to remain objective and to see a problem from almost every angle if you find yourself in between a conflict. Your innate mediating skills will serve others well. June 13 good luck, good luck. you'll need itSo im sitting at work in dispatch when a couple of brokers ( drivers who own thier own trucks) walk in. Polish as my work day is long. bring up the world cup. i love these conversations. debates on who is better why their team won or lost. Poland lost 2-0 in their first game. one of the drivers goes on about how the Polish team didnt recruit polish players from any of the other teams. for instance Lukas Podolski. he's a 20 yr old player with a shit load of skill. he plays for Germany. born and raised in Poland moved to Germany i think 10-15yrs ago. non the less you'd think Poland would recruit such a "trophy player" as Lukas if they wanted a better chance at winning the cup this time around. so anyways the drivers go on with more stats and at the end the one driver says, "you wait and see Poland will tie 2-2 with Germany." With a major Polish accent and just as big a smile on his face.they both crack up laughing. it seems like they are laughing like it would never happen with Germany being the team to beat this time.its could happen anything is possible in this sport. i watched the first 50 minutes of the Brazil/Croatia game. damn, it was amazing. wellplayed by both teams. i couldnt believe the pressure Croatia was puttng on Brazil. very captivating, so much so that i didnt want to leave my place to go to work today. wheres Canada? damn it! who am i supposed to cheer for. LMAO i have never really been a big soccer fan though i love playing it. i didnt get into watching the games until the last World Cup. its too exciting to ignore. who are you rooting for?? what team you rooting against???
its amazing how the sport of soccer changes the atmosphere at work, outside of work, all around. i love it. flags everywhere, horns and sirens going off. people smiling and flooding the streets. holigans beating the shit out of each other because their team lost. whats not to love about soccer.
keep it real keep smiling good luck to your team. I think im jumping on the band wagon and joinng the forces of brazil they have alot of great players and i love their characters. |
